KECU is aware of the "Heartbleed" internet bug. Our home banking provider did not detected the presence of the this vulnerability within KECUís home banking, however, the decision was made to be proactive and implemented the latest update that removes this threat.
We are taking extra precautions with member information. At the next log-in to your home banking account, we strongly recommend you change your password to at least an 8 character password to access your account. Please do not reuse a previous password. Also, cyber security specialists are recommending to the general public to change any passwords to accounts or websites containing personal information.
