Wayne Benson
President / Chief Executive Officer
Wayne A. Benson is President & CEO of EPL, Inc. Since January 2005, Wayne has led EPL through a critical time in the company’s history as it migrated all of its customers to EPL’s new i-POWER® platform. Focusing on the fundamental business principle of “doing what we say we are going to do,” Wayne continues to position EPL to compete with the largest players in the industry, enabling credit unions to drive their business through excellence in service by ensuring EPL delivers on its commitment of providing a “truly” open system and excelling at intimate customer relationships and seamless integrations. Wayne joined EPL in April 2004 as Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing. Prior to EPL, Wayne guided credit unions seeking to implement a member-centric culture as Owner and President of The Benson Group, Inc. Before opening a successful consulting firm, Wayne dedicated 23 years of service to CUNA Mutual Group serving in numerous positions including Senior Marketing Officer, President of CUNA Brokerage Services and Chief Officer, Sales & Marketing. Wayne began his career working for Century Companies of America. From Agent he worked his way up to Regional Vice President, eventually representing the field on an affiliation committee that developed collaborative plans between Century Companies and CUNA Mutual Group. Wayne holds a B.A. degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois.

Denise Taylor
Executive Vice President / Chief Customer Officer
Denise Taylor is responsible for ensuring EPL customers’ total satisfaction as its Chief Customer Officer. EPL is committed to enabling and empowering its customers to achieve their strategies by serving as an extension of its Credit Union customers. In Denise’s role, she ensures that alignment. Denise joined EPL in March of 1990 as a Senior Software Developer. In 1996, Denise was named Vice President of Installations where she oversaw 120 Conversions/Mergers before being named to the position of Senior Vice President Client Services/Network in 2005. Denise’s rare combination of technical skills and experience, customer service skills and her understanding of credit union operations perfectly supports a customer-centric culture. Denise earned a Marketing/Business Degree from the University of Mississippi.

David Gibbard
Senior Vice President, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer
David Gibbard is responsible for sales, marketing, product management and strategic partnerships. David has an extensive background as an entrepreneur, and as an executive in the credit union system, previously consulting to the CEO of CUNA Mutual and CUMIS, as the President and CEO of a credit union technology solutions development and insurance services company, and 10 years as senior management at of one of north America’s largest credit unions. David brings a strategic planning and execution discipline with singular focus of empowering and enabling credit unions to meet the every changing needs of their credit union members through technology, processes and people.

John Freeman
Senior Vice President Finance & Compliance
John joined EPL in 1978 as a programmer/analyst and has held leadership positions in virtually every area of the company (software engineering, quality assurance, customer support, training and documentation, conversions, data center operations, compliance). In his current role, John serves as Senior Vice President of Finance. In addition to his duties relating to EPL’s financial management, John also oversees Compliance and Security. Prior to joining EPL, he served as Senior Accountant with Price Waterhouse and Co. He received a BA degree from Vanderbilt University and MBA from Emory University. John is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Alabama Society of CPAs.

Larry Linville
Senior Vice President Operations
Larry Linville leads EPL’s Data Center Operation division and is responsible for System Administration, Database Management, LAN/WAN and Operational departmental activities. Larry joined EPL in 1979 as a software developer and later held various technical positions in EPL to include network and Senior System Engineer. Larry originally started his career in IT in 1970 and helped pioneer some of the first point-of-sales inventory systems and later transitioned to the credit union industry where he worked as a software developer responsible for converting a credit union “batch” system into an online and real time system. Larry has worked in the credit union industry for over 37 years and graduated from Nielsen’s Computer College in Charleston, South Carolina.

Rhiannon Stone
Vice President Client Services
Rhiannon Stone joined EPL in August of 2000 as a Client Services Representative. Since that time she has served as a Team Leader and Manager in Customer Support before becoming Vice President of Client Services in January 2012. She leads EPL’s Customer Service staff to deliver an experience that is unique in the industry. Rhiannon has fulfilled many roles throughout the years to serve the customer through support of the EPL’s product offering, technical research, training, software installations, and leadership. Rhiannon graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Finance.

Cathy Hulsey
Vice President Human Resources & Legal Services
Cathy Hulsey joined EPL in June of 2011 as Vice President of Human Resources and Legal Services. Cathy is a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources Management (SPHR), is experienced in all facets of Human Resources Management in the Public and Private Sector, and continues to be an active member with the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). Cathy received her Doctorate of Jurisprudence (JD) from the Birmingham School of Law. Cathy is the project manager for the Credit Union Exchange Blueprint, a turnkey private exchange insurance shopping platform designed for credit unions, their members and employers. Partnering with a world-class insurance enrollment center with representatives licensed in all 50 states, members can speak with a representative who can guide them to the services that best meet their needs while bringing new sources of revenue and additional credit union resources to the credit unions served.
